NOTHERE RN is a short, first-person interactive experience about disassociation. 

Selected for Acid Reflux: UCLA Design Media Arts Undergraduate Exhibition (2026).

NOTHERE_RN is a solo-developed, Unity-based interactive experience exploring dissociation through environmental world-building, lighting, and real-time visual systems. The project focuses on creating a cohesive, surreal environment in which spatial layout, color, and camera behavior communicate emotional states.
I was responsible for environmental asset creation and world layout, 3D modeling and rigging in Blender, custom Unity lighting setups, camera systems, post-processing pipelines, shader/material experiments, and C# gameplay logic, integrating visual storytelling directly into real-time gameplay systems.

NOTHERE_RN is an experimental video game that explores dissociation as a recurring state of fragmentation. Drawing from lived experience while remaining intentionally open-ended, the player inhabits a floating brain, separated from its animated physical body and left to watch it move through the world on its own.

Presented through a mirrored black-and-white screen, the game renders perception as displaced, suspending the player between observing the self and attempting to return to it. Color emerges only when the brain nears the body, marking a fleeting moment of regained agency before the body fades and disconnection returns.

The experience unfolds as a loop, framing dissociation not as something resolved, but as something that returns.
